Temaruhau, aka Tema. Originally from Moorea, Temaruhau – better known as Tema – perfectly embodies the spirit of the lagoon and the vibrant energy of his island. As a captain and guide at AKIVAI Moorea, he has been sharing his passion for nearly a year, offering visitors authentic and dynamic experiences.
With a fun, upbeat, and explosive personality, Tema stands out for his contagious enthusiasm and his ability to create truly unique moments on the water. A thrill-seeker at heart, he is especially passionate about wakeboarding and fishing-activities he loves to practice and share with others.
Deeply connected to his island, his favorite spot is the motu of Tiahura, an iconic location where he enjoys taking guests to experience the lagoon at its best. A proud “team sunset” member, he appreciates the golden end-of-day atmosphere, often paired with a Frozen Margarita.
Committed to his professional growth, Temaruhau earned his BTS in Tourism in 2024 and is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Tourism in 2025, continuously strengthening his expertise to deliver high-quality service.
